Judith “Judy” Ann Pallaske, age 73 of La Crosse passed away at Caring Hearts Assisted Living in Bangor, Wisconsin on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born in Milwaukee on October 9, 1943 to Arthur and Eunice (Honius) Stempel. Following graduation from Milwaukee Lutheran High School, she was joined in marriage to William John Pallaske, but later divorced.
Besides working at Quillin's grocery store in La Crosse, Judy would do hair cuts for friends and family. She loved people and animals and especially babies, she wouldn’t hesitate to strike up conversations with strangers. She enjoyed Celine Dion and Elvis, attending the Elvis Explosion at the La Crosse Center. She would be described as feisty and full of energy, having such great times while living at Solberg Heights apartments in La Crosse, possibly playing her accordion and “zooming” around on her wheels.
Judy is survived by her sons; Todd Pallaske of Onalaska, Timothy Pallaske of Winona, and Thomas Pallaske of Milwaukee, brothers; Robert and Lawrence Stempel, both of Milwaukee, grandchildren; Arianna, Nicholas, Eric, Emma, and Joshua, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial service on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Dickinson Family Funeral Home (1425 Jackson St., La Crosse) with Pastor Scott Skogen officiating.
